  • ICD-10 transistion happened without issue. Reminder: All claims with Date of Service 10/1/15 or after must use ICD-10. Create a new claim if some services were before 10/1/15 and some are on or after. Enter your codes without the decimal. Please take the time to review your ICD-9 codes to be sure you understand the new ICD-10 codes that you will need to report those same diagnoses properly. Full Payment depends on it.

  • Version 4.0 is available on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Web site to download, for FREE.  Adding support for Microsoft Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit), Vista (32 or 64 bit) and XP (32 or 64 bit). Codes.ini file for Remittance Advice Remark Codes and Claim Adjustment Reason Code were also updated.  See "How to Update (Import the CARC/RARC codes" in the MREP instructions.  Installing Version 4.0 includes the new codes.

  • New Medicare ID numbers will be sent out this year.  Those will replace the ID numbers you are currently using.  All claims should use the new numbers as they become available.  The software will handle the new numbers just fine without any updates.

  • A new POS code will go into affect on 4/1/2013.  18-Place of Employment/Worksite.  The FastEMC code list has been updated and will allow this new code as of the updates posted on 12/10/12.  Please visit the CMS web site for more information on how and when to use this new code, if you provide services that might apply.

Who do I ask for help?

  • If your issue is related to the new Medicare Bulletin Board System (BBS), please call 1-877-567-7261. A copy of the handbook for the new system is available at http://www.wpsic.com/edi/edi_bbs.shtml
  • If your issue is with Change Healthcare, Availity EDICH or the FastEMC software function and use, use our improved ticket system below to tell us what you need, email to: support@fastemc.com or call: (800) 326-4831 x 703
  • If your issue is related to the Availity Clearinghouse or the Availity Web Portal, please call us first and we will escalate to Availity Support if necessary.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: FastEMC does not pay your claims and your Clearinghouse does not pay your claims. Payment issues should be directed to the appropriate payer.

    We are pleased to offer an improved ticket system. Our new system will allow you to follow the progress of your ticket, add more information as necessary. It will also help our staff to respond more quickly and efficently. Please include facts like Professional or Institutional claims, Payer involved, clearinghouse if relevant.

    Remote Assistance App

    Our staff can connect to your desktop with this remote assistant app to provide assistance, training and setups. This type of support can save time and money by providing you with better service. You can see everything that happens and work along side our staff. Our support staff can help get the FastEMC product setup correctly on your computer, we can review your techniques or go over a claim that is giving you difficulty. We can not, provide services related to security on your computer, installation of software not related to the use of FastEMC.
