FastEMC Interfaces

There are essentially three FastEMC interfaces:

FastEMC Terminal: This mode requires you to input all commands using only keystrokes. Although this interface does not allow you to use a mouse, it does provide a greater level of efficiency and control for capturing charges.

FastEMC GI (graphical interface): This version is identical to FastEMC Terminal right down to the key commands, but it also gives you the option to use a mouse. Examples in this manual will primarily be displayed in FastEMC GI, but you have the option to execute the same commands in FastEMC Terminal.

FastEMC Dashboard: This interface enables you to manage your claims data and track your claims easily. When you click on a claim or call a report from the FastEMC Dashboard interface, your computer will launch FastEMC GI.

FastEMC Dashboard includes six tabs:

Home - a customizable entry page

Claims - a page that separates each claim by provider, facility and status (Ready to Print, Ready to Submit, Re-Submit, Error, Hold, Transmitted, Paid and Unpaid)

Reports - a page that enables you to call up FastEMC reports quickly and easily (see the Reports section for more detail)

Vital Signs - a brief summary of all your claims data

Charts - graphical representations of your claims data (pie charts, bar graphs, etc.)

Setup - a listing of your setup files for FastEMC

To update the data that appears in the FastEMC Dashboard, click the [Refresh] button with your mouse.
