Before You Can Use FastEMC

Before you can begin using FastEMC you must first complete the System Setup in the Maintenance Menu. 

If you are billing for multiple providers you must also complete the Provider/Physician file also located in the Maintenance Menu. 

Once the above is completed you may begin typing in your claims. 

In general the main steps for using FastEMC are: 

  1. Add/change claims (type in new claims or update existing claims) 
  
  2. Run the claims summary report (this will give you complete detail on the claims you are getting ready to submit electronically) 
  
  3. Run the create transmission report (puts your claims in the proper file format for electronic submission) 
  
  4. Use the communications network to transmit to your clearinghouse provider.
