3- Create Transmission File

This is option [3] on the Daily Operations Menu. 

This option selects all claims ready to be transmitted and creates the EMC Transmission format file to be transmitted electronically in choice 4, Communications Network.

After selecting this option, a screen will display "IS THIS A RERUN?" 
[N] - All claims in the system that are ready to be transmitted will be created in the transmission file  and the claim status will change to a [T] - Transmitted.
  Claims will not be created if they appear as Hold, Error, or Transmitted status. 

[Y] - The system will prompt for date and batch number of the claims to be recreated. 

The Claims Transmission Report includes the Date of Creation, Total Number of Claims and Charges for each Provider and Payer. 

Note: If the printer is off-line or not turned on at the time the system is attempting to create a transmission file, the following question will be prompted: 

Printer not ready
Do you wish to cancel the printing? Press Y or N 

[Y] - The transmission file will NOT be created and the Creation Report will not be printed. 

[N] - Make sure printer is on and on-line to allow Creation process.
